Pretty much awake at 5 AM, I tried to remember the Republican candidates from last night's debate.

I could name four, but weren't there five?

Finding the photo above, I realized I'd forgotten Tim Scott, who actually did have the least memorable peformance last night.

Thinking about any of the five as next door neighbors, I could visualize Ramaswamy arguing over property lines and Nikki Haley taking me to court if a basketball accidentally hit her car.

Chris Christie, though, seems like he'd be an easy-going neighbor.

Back to Ramaswamy, why in the Hell would he go after Haley's daughter for frequenting TikTok?  It seemed a bit creepy to even mention someone's daughter.

Ramaswamy said he would ban TikTok as if a first priority in his administration.

Haley sounds like she wants to go to war with Iran.

DeSantis brags about the greatness of Florida, but all I can think about is the juvenile fight he picked with Mickey Mouse.

None of the five have the elegance or statesman-like aura of 2012 candidate Mitt Romney who, at least, carried himself like he could be President.

Haley comes off as whiney, Ramaswamy unnecessarily argumentative.

Scott made a dumb comment about our country having a Judeo-Christian foundation, as if going for some kind of Church and State thing.

DeSantis said that while Trump was "great in 2016," he wasn't the President "needed now."

It seemed like a pretty lackluster bunch, not particularly inspirational.  While none seem as dumb as Trump, all lack the Former Guy's charisma.

  1. School board caliber candidates

  2. Profoundly noticeable was that all of these candidates, with the exception of Christie, ignored the obvious; that Trump was incompetent, unqualified to be President.
