Geronimo (Jerry) Titus McHale, born c.1814 in a tiny pueblo in California del Sur, died 1901, military hero and scribe during Texas Revolution.
McHale is said to have victoriously lead a ragtag group of Texians, Tejanos and escaped convicts against Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana at Resaca de la Palma, Brownsville in 1836, a battle that freed Texas from Mexican control.
An unconfirmed legend maintains that, as the battle raged into the night, McHale implored the Almighty to temporarily prevent the sun from setting until his troops had vanquished the enemy.
As was his custom, McHale personally penned a fabricated version of the battle greatly embellishing his own heroics and enemy casualties to enhance troop morale.
Born Roman Catholic, McHale temporarity converted to Mormonism, embracing polygamy, coming to be known as the "King Solomon of the Rio Grande."
Jerry is the King of the blogs, Sultan of grammar, and the Emperor of metaphors. To his credit what he says has honesty and truth unlike the other idiot at El rrun rrun. Montoya is easily bought, easily manipulated, easily influenced, and is simply washed-up for lack of a better expression. His time has definitely passed and since then there has only been one true source with actual information. We can use the comparison of Montoya being Eric Clapton and Jerry being Hendrix, or McHendrix for this comparison, we all know that great story, the irony of how it displayed how large the gap of talent was between them, sending Clapton (Montoya) into a depression. In the end we walked away with Hendrix eternalizing himself as the greatest guitar of the Modern music era meanwhile Clapton was remembered for stealing Harrison's wife, sadly nothing to do with music. McHale will be remembered for his informative short-stories and hard evidenced honesty meanwhile the Eric Clapton of blogs will be remembered for keeping the local cantina's in business, sadly nothing to do with journalism.
