Representative Will Hurd

Just thinking about Will Hurd, racism and the Republican Party.

It can't help having the tone deaf Donald Trump as the de facto leader of the Grand Ol' Party.

"Where's my Black? Trump shouts on one occasion.

"Look at my African-American!" he says on another.

Were Trump a slick, articulate racist like former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke,  he could slyly wiggle out of that designation, but the former guy always digs himself in deeper.  He can't help himself.

We don't know if the G.O.P.'s infatuation with Trump is what caused Will Hurd to decide not to run for reelection, but it's a decent guess.
