I've a friend who views the Ukraine-Russia War as a territorial dispute. I know that's Putin's position and a viewpoint held by some in the G.O.P.
I'm clearly in the camp that sees Putin as the aggressor trying to make a land grab, violating the sovereignty of another country, the Ukraine.
Anyway, some commentators have noted that not much seems to be happening with the conflict lately, some even hinting that Ukraine is running out of steam, while others say it's the Russians who've depleted their supply of arms, thus the run to North Korea to beef up supplies.
Zapp Brannigan's Big Book of War |
But, I've just heard a report that Ukraine may have taken a tip from Zapp Brannigan's Big Book of War, a book of military strategy should be considered a "must read" for those engaging in armed conflict in 2023.
You see, Russia's pride and joy, it's S400 Air Defense System, is being currently played like a fiddle by Ukraine, using a technique from Zapp's book.
Ukraine has successfully knocked out two of Russia's S400's at $500,000,000 USD per pop.
That's $1B smackeroos in loss to Russia for just those two systems.
The Ukraine technique, taught in Zapp's book, is to flood the area with inexpensive, unarmed drones, forcing Russia to expend its system for nothing.
Ukraine forces carefully listen to the Russian military response to their drones, then, when the Russian system has reached its preset kill limit, Ukraine sends in cruise missiles to do real damage.
Should Russia opt to NOT DEFEND, then Ukraine goes back to using armed drones, simple as that.
That Zapp guy is brilliant!
You need to share your findings with the D.O.D.
