My morning routine starts with emptying yesterday's grounds from the Mr. Coffee machine and making a new batch, then checking Jerry and Juan's blogs for anything new.
There was nothing new at McHale Report. Jerry may not have been up and around yet, but Juan Montoya had something at his El Rrun Rrun blog involving a cease and desist letter sent to recent city commission candidate Susan Ruvalcaba concerning alleged defamatory remarks issued toward the winner of that race, Tino Villarreal.
Now, while city commission races are generally considered non-partisan, why did it not surprise that Ruvalcaba, a candidate who posed with a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump, would be accused of defamation?
Denigration and name-calling is the Trump way, his modus operandi for destroying 17 Republican opponents in 2016, and those who clearly align themselves with the notorious pussy-grabbing, verbal abuser, are revealing something about their own approach to life and public service.
Attorney and former City Commissioner Cesar de Leon |
But, actually, the cease and desist was not the thing that grabbed my attention in Juan's story, so much as the attorney Tino Villarreal engaged to send the letter, former City Commissioner Cesar de Leon.

Anyway, it brought a smile to my face that De Leon is still active in his profession and we hope he's doing well.
Many of us have acted foolishly, even brazenly in our youth, only to be given a second chance, an opportunity to reinvent ourselves.
Kissing the N-word user’s ass. No one is shocked you would, whitey.

DeleteI saw the Black female attorneys: they were impressive lawyers. They had a backpack with wheels, dressed professional and were focused on their job. They looked young. It is understandable why other lawyers were jealous of them. I think they were looking for jobs and they accepted the offer to work in Cameron County but probably were unaware that their presence would make others jealous. Their families had to be proud of these two female lawyers.
ReplyDeleteBrownsville is a racist town. Hispanics fight like Hell to prevent blacks or anglos from doing work they think belongs only to them. The town will remain 95% Mexican and never progress.
