BISHOP DANIEL FLORES HAS A MESS ON HIS HANDS WITH WORSHIP OF THE GOLDEN CALF PREVALENT IN BROWNSVILLE

Is Brownsville a Christian city?

Well, as Bishop Daniel Flores will attest, it's certainly a Catholic city, with Catholicism, by far, the most prominent religion.

Hispanics all over the world embrace Catholicism and Brownsville is 95% Hispanic.

Yet, on election day 2020, 48,834 voters in Cameron County, of which Brownsville is the seat, voted for a pussy-grabbing, pathological liar, an unapologetic racist in the mold of Lester Maddox, George Wallace and David Duke, an insurrectionist who tried to overturn our election.

Bishop Daniel Flores

To put this in Biblical terms, these 48,834 worshipped the golden calf, kissed the rear of an idolatrous image, did obeisance to a human demigod and most of these idolators were subjects of the pastoring, guidance and leadership of Bishop Daniel Flores.

Flores must know he has a sick flock with those numbers duped, tricked and fooled by the Golden Calf.

Just as Father Armand Matthew before him failed miserably in generating civic engagement, voting, election participation, Bishop Flores has lost 43% of his flock to outright paganism, the worship of Donald Trump.

Am I being harsh?  Most assurredly!

Am I dissappointed?  Without a doubt!

Moses had worked hard under divine direction to chisel out two stone tablets with instructions from God, but, when he saw the golden calf the Israelites were now worshipping, he threw his handiwork down onto the ground, shattering it.

That's called righteous indignation folks, an acceptable form of anger when human rights, good morals and justice are ignored and golden calves are worshipped instead.

  1. Bishop Flores has a much bigger problem. Catholics are fleeing the church, as are others from other denominations. This is a recent report about that: https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2023/05/16/catholics-covid-mass-attendance-245307

    1. I've followed Ana to quite a few different churches in the last 18 months. The sermons do nothing for me, but I'm enthralled by the beautiful ceiling, wall and window art and always impressed by an ethnic mix among the congregants. I'm surprised none of the clergy or parishioners are inclined to welcome us or figure out who are. Most seem just anxious to leave and get on with their day. I doubt this was what the historical Jesus envisioned.

  2. Your clearly know nothing about the Bible. There is no uniform 10 Commandments among Christian groups. The Bible has two full versions and then some part versions. Different Christian groups depending on what they believe put them in different orders..

At the time of the so-called Exodus, there were several tribes of Hebrews. Not all Hebrews believed in one God, and some might say neither did Moses. "There shall be no other God before me." Many believe his chosen God was number one, but he never said there were no other Gods. Many Hebrew tribe practiced idolatry. In fact, if you believe the Bible Moses' God gave his group permission to go to war with Hebrews who did not believe in his one God.

More and more Latinos are leaving the Catholic Church. Where you get your numbers seem from a magical hat.

Are you aware the Catholic Church exists in name only. The Franciscans want Pope Francis out and do not like the Jesuits.

You need to get educated before you write this tripe.

    1. While I've always appreciated critical comments, yours is just a bit odd with quite a few unproven assertions and attempted counters to things I simply didn't say. Logic is critical to effective argumentation.

  3. Give one example of an unproven fact. It is all there for anyone willing to use google.
