CLASSIC CARS, ALLEGEDLY OWNED BY CARTEL MEMBERS, SEIZED IN ALTAMIRINO, GUERRERO

Over 700 miles south of Brownsville in a warehouse in Ciudad Altamirino, Gurrero, the state attorney general's office recovered a number of classic cars owned by two members of La Familia Michoacana according to a story in Borderland Beat.

13 mayors in the area and even two federal deputies opposed the seizure, calling it "looting and raids without a search warrant."

Classes were suspended in the area and bus service ceased as bus drivers were forced to join a blockade set up by the cartel.

Two brothers allegedly owned the vehicles; Jose Alfredo Hurtado Alascoaga or "El Fresa" and Johnny Hurtado Olascoago, "El Pez."
