The hardest working men in Brownsville are Mexican Nationals, likely past the U.S. retirement age, who comb through our city's alleys looking for anything of value they can salvage for income.
These men are the ultimate recyclers, scrounging for cardboard, aluminum cans, plastic, paper, anything that can be reused in some way.
How can you not respect men who survive on sheer will and work ethic?
great and very respectable article profiling the people who work hard and in the process make us a better city. the poor have rights - well not according to our city commission
