STATE OFFICIALS NOT HESITANT TO CHALLENGE GOVERNOR ABBOTT'S BAN ON MASK MANDATES

Governor Greg Abbott

Nothing looks weaker than fake machismo and Greg Abbott's feeble-minded fist-pumping ban on mask mandates is reminiscent of Charles Barkley's "mouse in the house," that is a little guy trying to stop a big.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner was not exactly shaking in his boots over Abbott's threatened "up to $1000 fine" when he ordered city workers to resume wearing masks while on the job, citing the "recent uptick in positive COVID-19 cases in our community and in our workplace linked to the the new delta variant."

A Dallas County administrative court judge has also reinstituted a mask requirement for anyone entering the courthouse.

In Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales says that in Kingsville, Corpus Christi and Kingsville the surge of COVID-19 patients, along with a nurse shortage, had resulted in a shortfall of hospital beds in those cities.

With the Brownsville Independent School District starting classes in the next two weeks, many Brownsville mothers and fathers are on edge about the coronavirus's effect on their children, especially if mask-wearing and social distancing is not practiced.

No one seems worried about Governor Abbott's bellicose threat.

  1. Abbott doesn't care if our kids get covid. He just wants to be an anti-masker like his hero Trump.

  2. Who was that GOP idiot who died of Covid a few days after mocking the vaccine? GOP owning the libs by putting Republicans in the grave!

But another matter when Abbott's Trump worship kills kids in schools. A bunch of parents having funerals for kids who died of Covid from school, just in time for 2022 midterms. Brilliant strategy, there.

  3. It's Trump's fault.

  4. Are all the people getting Covid now still Trump's fault or is Biden responsible for the people that got it after he took office? Please explain it to me Jim. Explain it to me in a factual, bipartisan way and with facts. No hate please.

    1. Thanks for the loaded question.
Trump deserves both credit and blame for his handling of the pandemic. Trump's initial minimizing of the coronavirus, calling it a "Democratic hoax," then, when the American people needed information, stepping narcissistically in front of medical experts to offer lamebrain remedies like injecting bleach into the body. Trump publicly mocked mask wearers, setting a tone of resistance to CDC guidelines for his millions of worshippers. Trump did get on the butts of the vaccine manufactures to expedite things and deserves credit for that. If Biden does not use his public platform to convince Americans the danger of this virus in its several variants is still real, then damn him!
