INCITER-IN-CHIEF EARNS TWO YEAR EXTENSION TO FACEBOOK BAN WHILE LOCAL REPUBLICANS LOOK THE OTHER WAY

An Associated Press article by Barbara Ortutay  announced yesterday that Donald Trump's Facebook account would continue to be frozen until "early 2023," finding that Trump "had stoked violence ahead of the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol."

Do not expect the Cameron County Republican Party to display similar courage and honesty with County Chairperson Morgan Cisneros Graham recently announcing that she is "pro-Trump."  It will be interesting to see if her mentor and the de facto icon of the local party, Carlos Cascos, is similarly deficient in fortitude.

Graham with Gov. Abbott
Graham's reticence to disassociate herself the rabid racism, incompetence and constant lying of the Last Guy is somewhat understandable considering the demographics of the Cameron County Republican Party, which is seemingly Harlingen and anglo-centric and somewhat long-in-the-tooth.

These elderly Anglos are victims of the disinformation of Rupert Murdoch's Fox News, true believers in the Big Lie that the election was stolen from Trump.

If we learned anything from the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, it's that a large segment of our country has been brainwashed with mindsets bordering on treason.

We had hoped that our local Republican leaders would not be part of this victimization and disinformation.
