FIANCEE' ANA KEEPS ME STABILIZED. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Ana Adiong, My Fiancee'
I happened to be at my bank's ATM machine today when fiancee' Ana called.  I was showing her how my bank's logo included both the United States and Mexico even though the bank is almost exclusively in Texas with two branches in Oklahoma.

"Money laundering, Jim.  Watch out for money laundering."

"Wow!  You picked up on that, really?"

"Yes.  I know how that works.  Some even use the Cayman Islands," Ana continued.

Later, she read my blog article about the McAllen guy who wrote so many hurtful things about Nena.  She sent me this message:

"I read ur story.  Please
don't be upset and
calm down.  Don't let
him get to you.
He has no love
in his life"

"I'm fine," I told her.

Damn!  How can I be so lucky?  Two great women in one life!

Ana and I are maintaining confidence in the immigration system, but prepared with options.

I could easily live out my life in her home in Cagayan de Oro. I spent nearly a month there.  Her neighbors all like me, even the "crazy lady."  The man next door, a retired policeman, offered me his late model Nissan truck "for our wedding," an event we had not mentioned.

"Could I cover city commission meetings here?" I naively asked Ana.

"Well, they may not be so much in English, Jim.  Most likely Bisayan or Tagalog, but I can translate for you."

"Oh, OK."

Evidently, blogging is a big thing in Cagayan de Oro or CDO, as they refer to it.  Above is a pic from a meeting of CDO bloggers.  Would I fit in?

Vloggers, those who put their video commentary online in the Philippines are celebrities.  FinnSnow, a young man from Iceland with a drone camera and his girlfriend, Sherlyn Doloriel, Ms. Scuba International, are recognized everywhere.

I keep telling myself: There's always an option.
