JOHN DEAN CLAIMS EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE WAS "NEVER" AN OPTION FOR TRUMP

John Dean Testifies During Watergate Hearings
John Dean, former White House counsel to Richard Nixon, knows a thing or two about impeachment, obstruction of justice and the claim of executive privilege.

As Dean explained to CNN's Don Lemon last night:  "By pretending to not exercise their "right" to invoking executive privilege, the White House is trying to leave the impression that they're allowing Comey to testify."

Dean called that position a "fraud."

In a published article Dean also stated:  "This approach to former FBI Director Comey's testimony is a drill symptomatic of the Trump White House. They either do not know what they are doing or when they do they believe no one else does, so they play games. In the annals of executive privilege, it has never been used to block the testimony of a former federal employee. To do so, the White House would have to go to federal court to try to persuade a judge to block Comey, a former employee, from publicly discussing his conversations." http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/06/opinions/comey-executive-privilege-trump-sham-dean-opinion/index.html
