Catching A Glimpse of Brownsville's High Rise for the Elderly from Boca Chica Blvd.
I noticed this scene out of the corner of my eye while traveling west down Boca Chica Blvd., just past "Four Corners." I couldn't believe that it's a straight shot on the old tracks behind the Boca Chica Inn down to Villa del Sol, the high rise for the elderly at 700 E. St. Charles. I did my best with my L820 which only has a 30 zoom. I may try to get a clearer pic later.

Great observation. It's been that way for like 50 years.
ReplyDeleteFifty years ago I was concentrating on getting my '59 VW through the high water of "Four Corners." I learned that, by depressing the clutch, it would take the back pressure off the tail pipes that were under water and the engine would continue to run as I coasted through the water.
