Hasse's Write-In Candidate Forum Set for Brownsville Public Library June 16 @ 6:30 PM
From the Editor: Tad Hasse is going through Herculean efforts to allow the voters to select the next County Tax Assessor, rather than permit the Cameron County Commissioners Court to pick one of their political cronies for the job, should Tony Yzaguirre receive the most votes, then be convicted.
He's announced the first of his write-in candidate forums to be held at the Brownsville Public Library.
The tax assessor job has garnered considerable interest with rumors of a possible run by a former County Judge candidate, a former County Clerk candidate, a young military man and possibly the Brownsville Cheezmeh guru himself, surfacing so far.
