Why Did Finance Director Lupe Granado Present and the City Commission Approve A Maintenance Contract for Brownsville Buses to a Failing Company?

  2. I agree. Seems as though someone was going to make money off the contract, or the city doesn't know how to deal with a bus maintenance contract. Typical action when they just wanted to get the issue off their plate...so they go with the recommendation of the bus director, Norma Zamora. To the city commission this is a petty issue....petty because they don't know anything about the bus system and aren't willing to spend time to learn.

    1. Granado was part of a panel approving the recommendation of the $1,400,000 maintenance contract for Brownsville Metro with First Transit. He then presented that recommendation to the City Commission for approval which he received.

    2. Don't drink the Brownsville water, it apparently has caused our commissioners and mayor inoperable brain damage
