Tony Martinez Explains the Proposed Vela Lease

From the editor:  Mayor Tony Martinez comes out of executive session where the proposed city lease with newly elected Congressman Filemon Vela was discussed.  While rumors and some reports indicated the cost of the lease for the congressman would be almost negligible, this was not what Martinez presented with the action item.  He describes a market rate being made available to Vela, although his speech is unusually hesitant, halting:

  3. I heard that the original plan was for Vela to have a $1.00 annual lease with free utilities.

    2. That should be "mondado," not "mondao." Mondao is how the uneducated lowlifes pronounce it. Get out of the taquerias, vato.

  4. $1.40 a sq. ft., is that quote plus utilities or does it include utilities?

    1. After she ripped Fil when she was taking money promoting Garza for Congress lol... while Martinez was out there for big loser Denise Blanchard

lol!!! everything she and Martinez do on the City commission is a joke, anyone they associate with ends up looking bad (their belated 'help' with his new Congress office of course backfires) must be a rude awakening for Vela. Working together, Zamora and Martinez are barely less incompetent than their buddy Ernie Hernandez!!

  6. If Vela rejects paying fair market value, it would add credibility to the bloggers who claimed he was initially offered the office space for far less.

    1. rent is included in every congressman's budget. This isn't Vela's doing. More like a pathetic attempt by former Blanchard and Ramiro Garza supporters trying to kiss ass to Vela by giving away Brownsville space for free, while making themselves look like complete and utter dumbasses. Imagine Brownsville

  7. In bottom-feeding Browntown, the Budget Margaritaville, anything can be sold down the river. There is no intrigue here, other than Melissa Zamora's position. Chase that one and get back to me. All this is just small potatoes, boys; yes, yet another example of the corrupt process, but hardly a shocker. Vela will get his city digs and the mayor will get his tiny feather in his small hat. What is it that they say: "Little games for little minds." Don't fret over this hardly-explosive Vela-Martinez move. It's the next one you should worry about...
