Tishia from Puerto Rico, Working the Corner of 11th and Jefferson Declines An Interview
We gently approached this woman, wanting to know a bit about her. She did say that her name is Tishia. She's from Puerto Rico and has been in Brownsville for about a month. She walked away because she did not want to be interviewed which is understandable. She did not leave the area, but continued to look for employment opportunities. Of course, she is someone's daughter, someone's sister and likely someone's mother.

Dear All-Caps,
ReplyDeleteMany others covered the life of Steve Jobs. I wanted this woman's story but she was fearful.

If you give her $10, she will talk to you. She is a pretty lady. I would be interested in knowing how she ended up here.
