Police Officer Dee Garcia Honored by the City
Dee Garcia is a beautiful young woman who happens to be a police officer. The just-under-the-surface toughness is there, believe me. Don't mess with Dee. I'm married to a similar woman, so I understand.
Dee saved the life of an eleven year old boy, responding to a call. She doesn't want anyone to make a big deal of this, but that's our call, not hers. The city honored her last night, rightfully so. . .Here is the video.

WHY WAS THE COMISSIONER CRYING???
ReplyDeleteOfficer Diana Martinez is awesome! What's up with the over-use of the word "Whereas"?
ReplyDeletewhereas. . . .it's written like people thinks proclamations are supposed to be written with imitation legaleze. . . .

She always cries over sad family stuff. She also ccried on ch 4 when Atkinson said her mom didnt have breast cancer, when in fact she WAS battling it. She beat atkinson, and gave this cop an award regardless of her hatred of cops. I want to.be her when I grow up.

Dee is her good friend and she got emotional. Dee saved a young boy's life which could have easily been her son or mine or yours. For some reason, city proclamations use the word whereas a lot.
ReplyDeleteThank You Officer Martinez. BPD and the City of Brownsville are very fortunate to have officers of such high caliber. Thank You Jim for providing us with this story and video for those of us who could not make the ceremony.
